Day 1

We will meet at 11:00 a.m. in the car park in Weißlahnbad. After a briefing at Tschaminschwaige, we can have a bite to eat before setting off on our hut-to-hut tour through the picturesque Tschamin Valley. Beyond the head of the valley at Rechter Leger, the trail becomes steeper. Passing through forests of stone pine and mountain pine, we will reach the Grasleiten Valley, where breathtaking views of Grasleitenhütte reward our efforts.

We will then settle into the hut and enjoy our stay in the oldest mountain refuge in the Rosengarten massif.

Day 2

From Grasleitenhütte, we begin the demanding ascent into the impressive Grasleiten basin, a lunar landscape of scree and rock. Crossing extensive scree fields, we reach Grasleiten Pass and enter the Trentino side of the Rosengarten massif.

We then continue uphill to Antermoia Pass, enjoying spectacular views of the Vajolet Valley. With one final push, we climb Cima Laussa and take in the magnificent view of the imposing Kesselkogel.

Finally, we descend to Antermoia Hut, situated near the lake of the same name. After a lunch break, the afternoon is dedicated to relaxation. Those who still have the energy and inclination can take a detour with the guide to Cima Lausa (260 m elevation gain, 3.6 km, approx. 1.5 hours).

Day 3

From the Antermoia Hut, we descend over the Dona Pass into the picturesque Duron Valley. This is followed by an approximately two-hour ascent via the Mahlknechtjoch to the Tierser Alpl hut.

The trail is wide and technically easy, but requires a good level of fitness. At Tierser Alpl, we stop for lunch and then settle into our accommodation. We take it easy in the afternoon, while hikers with energy to spare can enjoy an additional excursion to Molignon Pass (3 km / 200 m elevation gain / 1.5 hours).

We will then continue along narrower trails and through areas of mountain pine until we reach Tschafonhütte, our destination for the day. Those who still have enough energy can join us for an additional hike to Völsegg Peak and enjoy the beautiful views across South Tyrol.

The historic Prügelweg trail then leads steeply uphill to Sesselschwaige, an ideal place to stop for a break. From there, we continue along the south-western slopes to Schlernhaus, where we will spend the night.

An additional 20-minute hike takes us to the summit of Monte Petz at 2,563 metres. Afterwards, we settle into the "Alpine Castle of the Dolomites".

A steep descent over scree takes us into the Grasleiten basin, a barren, lunar landscape. A final short but steep ascent brings us to our destination for the night.

We then climb beneath the imposing eastern face of Rosengartenspitze before continuing at roughly the same elevation towards Cigolade Pass. A steel ladder and several sections secured with steel cables lead us steeply over scree to the pass. The magnificent view of Rotwand rewards us for our efforts.
